The journal has adopted and applies the principles of publication ethics consistent with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which means, among other things, the prevention of ghostwriting practices (where someone made a significant contribution to the publication without revealing their contribution as one of the authors or mentioning their role in thanking the publication) and guest authorship (where the author's contribution is negligible or non-existent, but such a person is nevertheless mentioned as the author or co-author of the publication), and editorial attention to the absence of any conflict of interest during the double-blind review process (author and reviewer do not know each other’s identities). The exact ethical principles used in the journal can be found in the [Ethical Standards adopted and applied by the journal “Studia de Cultura”].
The following principles of publication have been developed on the basis of the criteria and assessment procedure for academic journals adopted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 20 September 2018 on de minimis aid under the "Support for academic journals" programme and Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 7 November 2018 on drawing up lists of publications of academic monographs and journals and reviewed materials from international conferences).

Academic papers initially accepted are then sent for further substantive assessment to two independent external reviewers appointed from among specialists in the discipline being published.
The review process is confidential. The list of reviewers cooperating with the journal is available on its website and in the printed version of the quarterly.
Reviews are written and descriptive. In their assessment, the reviewer takes into account the originality and merit of the paper, its form (composition, language), quality of sources, academic reliability, and may also indicate the qualification of the paper to a given category of academic texts. All comments, amendments and suggestions for possible changes are placed by the reviewer in the review form so that the author can read them and include them in the final version of the text. The review shall conclude with a conclusion and an unequivocal request to allow or not to allow publication of the article.
In order for a paper to be allowed to be printed, it is necessary to obtain two positive reviews. In the event of a significant divergence of assessments, the editorial team may decide to appoint a third reviewer.
