Abstrakt
Niniejszy artykuł bada wpływ poświęcania queerowości w trakcie procesu adaptacji komiksu w produkcji filmowej skierowanej do szerszej publiczności - w szczególności elizję (pominięcie) queerowości w Czarnej panterze Ryana Cooglera (2018) i iluzje queerowości w Wonder Woman (2017) Patty Jenkins. Różnica między elizją (pominięciem) a iluzją jest kluczowa i dlatego stosuję w odniesieniu do nich różne podejścia analityczne. Analiza Czarnej Pantery jest zakorzeniona w procesie produkcji, unaocznia, w jaki sposób / dlaczego queer jest wymazywany przez porównanie do wyraźnej queerowości komiksów Ta-Nehisi Coates i Roxanne Gay. Fragment o Wonder Woman skupia się na dogłębnej analizie tekstu, zarówno komiksu Grega Rucki, jak i filmu Jenkinsa, aby pokazać, jak queerowe iluzje funkcjonują w różnych mediach. Pomimo że filmy te zostały okrzyknięte progresywnymi, niniejszy artykuł wyjaśnia, w jaki sposób motywacje do ukrywania queer w produkcjach skierowanych do szerszej publiczności są zakorzenione w homofobii i w dążeniu do zysku.
