Abstract
In the 21st century, metal music appears to be a fully global phenomenon. One of the proofs of this is the activity of the Ukrainian band Jinjer, currently boldly competing with the biggest stars of the European and American scene. This is due to the band’s diverse, difficult to classify, but at the same time universal musical style. Jinjer’s music uses various means and metal conventions,
but they do not put them together in a collage; they rather strive for synergy. At the same time, in recent years, threads related to social isolation, lyricism and national references have come to the fore in the band’s music. The aim of the article is to outline the stylistic syndrome in the context of extreme metal subgenres.
